Abstract¶
Satori is a next-generation Bitcoin Layer-2 network that seamlessly integrates the security and liquidity of Bitcoin with the programmability of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). By mirroring every Bitcoin block into an EVM-compatible execution environment, Satori allows developers to access and programmatically interact with Bitcoin transactions, including BRC-20 tokens, ordinals, and advanced scripting functionalities. This includes reacting programmatically to UTXOs, allowing the implementation of BTC-20, Runes, Ordinals, and other Bitcoin-native assets within the programmable layer.
Satori uses BTC as the primary fee token, maintaining Bitcoin’s economic integrity while leveraging the Satori token for cross-layer and cross-chain operations. This whitepaper outlines the technical architecture, security mechanisms, tokenomics, and governance model of Satori, demonstrating how it enables scalable, low-cost Bitcoin transactions and unlocks new possibilities for DeFi and application development on Bitcoin.
